10th Annual Texas Blue Chip Showcase, a huge success!

This past weekend the original Texas Blue Chip College Showcase was held at Meyer Park for the 10th successive year. 63 teams from 28 clubs played 78 games over Saturday and Sunday and were watched by 85+ College coaches (Men's soccer) that were in attendance.

Ted Priestly, Head Coach at College of the Holy Cross, wrote
" Your organizational blend of hospitality, personal care and professionalism, coupled with top quality players, teams and facilities made the Blue Chip Showcase an ideal recruiting event.  The weekend was first-class from start to finish."
This years event proved to be the best yet.  A huge thank you goes out to Paula Betts and her army of  invaluable volunteers.

TSC USSF Academy Teams Wrap Up the Year in Style with 12pts!

Texas SC/DTH USSF Academy teams wrapped up the year in style Wednesday night as both the U16 and U18 teams beat the Houston Dynamo Academy teams on their home turf. The U16s won 4-0 in convincing style playing the Dynamo off the field at times. An excellent performance was highlighted by #32 Duarte grabbing two goals during the night and #27 Vasquez scoring his 13th goal in 12 games - a great achievement at any level.

The U18s came out on top of an exciting game as 3-2 winners. The pace of #50 Escobar and  #55 Castillo proved to be more than a handful for the Dynamo's defense.

Wednesday's great results followed two more convincing results as both the U16s and the U18s beat the Texas Rush USSF Academy teams on Sunday morning . The U16s won 2-1 and the U18s strolled to a 4-1 victory. These 12pts for our Texas SC DTH Academy groups see both U16/U18 finish the year with a 5 - 1 -2 record which keeps both teams within touching distance of 1st place with a game in hand! Congratulations to all the Academy players.
